About us
Small team. Big ambitions.
We started Boldmade because we were tired of watching good projects get ruined by bad process. Clients talk to salespeople. Code gets written by whoever's free that week. Nobody owns anything. We wanted the opposite: a team where the people you meet are the people who build your product.
How we got here
We spent years watching talented developers get buried behind account managers and PowerPoint decks. Projects got sold by people who'd never write a line of code, then built by whoever happened to be available that Tuesday. Requirements got lost in translation. Deadlines slipped. Clients got frustrated. Developers got burned out. Everyone lost.
We kept saying "there has to be a better way to do this." Eventually we stopped saying it and started building it.
Boldmade came out of that frustration. No grand business plan, no "we identified a market opportunity." Just a group of people who'd been in the trenches long enough to know what actually works — and what's just theatre.
Here's what we figured out: the best software gets built when the people making decisions are also the people writing code. When there's no game of telephone between the client and the team. When everyone's senior enough to have opinions and humble enough to change them.
So that's what we built. A small team in Budapest. Senior people who chose to work together. No layers, no politics, no one "managing" you who doesn't understand your stack.
We work in English and Hungarian. Our clients are in Zurich, London, across the EU, and sometimes right down the street. We respect deadlines because we set realistic ones. And we believe fair pricing and exceptional quality aren't mutually exclusive — they're just rare.
The team
Barni
Founder & Architect
System design, technical architecture, fintech
Six years across banking platforms, real estate search engines, gaming backends, and SaaS products. The one who designs the system before the first line of code gets written — tech stack decisions, scaling strategy, and the big-picture thinking that saves you months down the road. Still codes, but his primary role is making sure the architecture is right.
Dani
Designer & Client Lead
UI/UX design, design systems, brand identity, client communication
Your first point of contact. Dani handles design and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks on the communication side. Design-obsessed, detail-oriented, and genuinely available — on email, on mobile, whenever things need to move.
Réka
Project Manager
Agile project management, client communication, process optimization
The one who keeps projects on track. Not a clipboard-carrier — someone who actually understands what's being built and can tell you where things stand without checking with three other people first. Réka knows the difference between a blocker and a nice-to-have, and won't let either slip.
Attila
Senior Full-Stack Developer
Full-stack development, frontend, backend, end-to-end feature delivery
An experienced full-stack developer who ships features end-to-end. Attila is equally at home building polished frontends and robust backend services. The kind of developer who takes a feature from design to production without dropping the ball — frontend, backend, and everything in between.
Photo direction: Each photo should be real, imperfect, personality-forward — casual shots, behind a laptop, coffee in hand, mid-conversation. NOT corporate headshots. NOT AI-generated. Show the actual humans.
Why we're small on purpose
We get asked this a lot: "Why don't you grow? Hire more people? Take on more work?" Because that's how you become the thing we left.
We say no to projects so we can stay focused on the ones we take. Every project we accept gets real attention — not whatever's left after the big client ate the week.
Here's the thing about software: code is cheap. You can generate it, copy it, offshore it. But the people who know what code to write — and more importantly, what code not to write — those people take 20+ years to grow. When you hire us, you're buying the attention of people who've seen enough to know what works.
We don't have a bench of juniors waiting for billable hours. Everyone here chose to be here. Nobody's "staffed on your project" — they're working on it because they want to. We'd rather do 4 projects well than 20 projects badly. That's not a limitation. That's the whole point.
What we believe
Quality over speed.
We'd rather take an extra week than ship something we'll have to rewrite in six months. Shortcuts compound. A hack today is a production incident next quarter.
Say the uncomfortable thing.
If your idea needs a different approach, we'll tell you. If we're not the right fit, we'll say that too. You're paying for honest opinions, not head-nodding.
No surprises.
You'll always know where your project stands. Problems get surfaced immediately — with a plan, not an excuse.
Trust over contracts.
The best software comes from teams that trust each other. We invest in understanding your business, not just your ticket backlog.
